Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information Omen (the "Bot") collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. By using the Bot you agree to the practices described here.
1. What We Collect
The Bot stores the following server-level configuration data to operate its features:
- Discord server (guild) ID
- Channel IDs (news channel, breaking news channel, calendar channel)
- Role IDs (ping role)
- Bot settings (auto-post preferences, timezone, currency filters, impact level filters, reminder timings, briefing schedule)
- Webhook URLs created by the Bot in your channels
For Premium subscribers, the Bot also reads entitlement data provided by Discord's API to verify active subscription status. We do not store payment information - all billing is handled entirely by Discord.
2. What We Do Not Collect
The Bot does not read, store, log, or process the content of any messages sent by users in your server. It does not collect personal information about individual Discord users, including usernames, avatars, profile data, direct message content, or message history.
3. How Data Is Used
Server configuration data is used exclusively to deliver Bot features - routing news posts to the correct channels, firing reminders at the right time, and applying your filter preferences. This data is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for any purpose.
4. Data Storage and Security
Configuration data is stored on secured servers. We take reasonable precautions to protect stored data, but no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted over the internet.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Server configuration data is retained while the Bot is active in your server. Removing the Bot from your server stops all activity immediately. To request deletion of your server's stored data, contact us and we will remove it within a reasonable timeframe.
6. Third-Party Services
The Bot aggregates and delivers content from third-party financial news sources and economic data providers. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sources.
Discord processes all payments for Omen Premium subscriptions. Their privacy policy governs any personal data they collect in connection with billing.
7. Children
The Bot is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
